Construction and Renovation of New High School Science Labs Approved
The Wayne Township Board of Education recently approved a $455,000 project that will lead to three new science labs and a variety of electrical upgrades at Wayne Valley and Wayne Hills High Schools.  The Wayne Township Board of Education is planning to invest significantly in the quality of district lab spaces.   The Board feels it is of the utmost importance students be afforded access to learning environments that stimulate strong growth in scientific thinking and understanding through hands-on learning opportunities.  This $455,000 project is the first phase of a multi-year project that will lead to a complete renovation of all high school science classrooms over the next three years.  Click here for the complete article.
Board of Education Appoints New Administrators
Wayne, New Jersey - The Wayne Township Board of Education recently appointed four administrators for the 2017-2018 school year.  Superintendent of Schools Mark Toback recently commented, “We are fortunate to have excellent candidates to fill such important positions.  The candidates all have something in common.  They have a history of holding themselves to the highest professional standards and they all have great prior work experiences that will benefit our school system. I am also pleased to note that two of the four appointees are current school district employees that have been promoted.”  Please click here for full press release.
Revised 2017-2018 School Calendar
The 2017-2018 School Calendar has been revised to add a minimal day on Friday, December 22, 2017, prior to the Holiday Recess.  Please click here for the revised calendar.
No Place For Hate

George Washington Announcements
Stars and Stripes 5K. Walk & Fun Run
This event will take place on November 4, 2017.  The 5K will begin from the Lenox Avenue Entrance at the George Washington Middle School and travel through the Packanack Lake Community.  The race will conclude back at the School on Ciccone Drive.  We look forward to seeing you there!! ​
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Semper Fi Fund.

5K Registration and Information
Washington DC Parent meeting
There will be an informational parent meeting regarding this year's 8th Grade Class Trip to Washington DC on September 25th, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the auditorium.  A representative from Curriculum Travel of America will be making the presentation.  The trip to Washington DC is schedule for May 16,17 & 18, 2018.
